Appearance

Calienne is blessed by beauty, strength and a formidable charisma. Beloved by everyone, her dark eyes contrast with her locks of golden hair. Her proud expression softens when she deals with the citizens of Auriel's Gate and any member of her order.

Backstory

Dame Calienne is the champion of the Rose Knights of Auriel’s Gate. She is in a relationship with Vesna, a local painter, and every knight of the order knows the two as lovers. Many years ago she travelled to the Shrine of Saint Lyssa to ask the saint’s blessing on her blazing rose.

Current drive

Recent events in the countryside of Auriel Gate brought to life a mysterious ploy that seems to target the Rose Knights indirectly. Calienne is looking to shed some light on whoever might be behind these attacks.

At your table

The story of Calienne begins with "Fields of Auriel are Ablaze" where she is briefly introduced to the players in all her might. The players will then move on to "The rite of the rose" to discover what happened to her in the months following the events of that first night.

Calienne falls ill with a mysterious illness. With Vesna, she enlists the witch Breyth to capture part of her soul in a living portrait so the two can live on together; once she dies, her blazing rose is to be fused with the portrait to complete it. Dame Marwen, whom Calienne rejected, witnesses the ritual. After Calienne’s death, during the night vigil, Marwen puts her squire Alric to sleep and steals her rose. The Rite of the Rose begins at Calienne’s funeral.
