Thistle Windmere

Shopkeeper

A half-elf herbalist who runs Nectar & Nettle in Marisport, now under investigation after her nectars poisoned customers. An NPC for D&D 5e from Irydale.

Appearance

Thistle is a middle-aged half-elf of delicate features with coppery curly hair and a mischievous smile that ill-suits her age. She dresses in plain garbs with a leather apron, and often has stains of dirt and pressed herbs all over her clothes and face.

Current drive

She has recently been put under investigation as the side effects of her nectars have threatened the lives of a few of her customers. She swears she has no clue about what is going on and is pleading for anyone to accompany her and recover a sample of Pure Crystalline water from Marie's Ruins so she can prove that someone tampered with her ingredients.

For the GM

At your table

A good hook "in medias res" could be to place Thistle already at Marie's Ruins, but doing so in a situation of peril. Maybe the person trying to sabotage her shop found a way aboard the ship and is trying to kill or compromise her further. Maybe they weren't careful threading these submerged ruins and are now shipwrecked or threatened by a creature or hazard.
