Baroness Florea

Baroness of Arwynia

Baroness Florea, the scheming ruler of Arwynia whose venom-threaded mantle bent her rivals to her will. An NPC for D&D 5e from the world of Irydale.

Appearance

A raven-haired lady with fair skin and deep, aqueous black eyes she used to dress in her Duskbloom Mantle, a maroon coat that was expertly embroidered with charm-thorns to subjugate her enemies.

Her portament was always prideful to her very last breath.

Backstory

During her methodical reign over the vineyards of Arwynia, the raven-haired Baroness Florea had her most loyal servants weave a series of venomous charm-thorns into her maroon garments. During the prestigious balls of Arwynia’s nobility, Florea would wear her flora overcoat, discreetly prick her competitors with its mind-altering venom, and seduce them into revealing their trade secrets. Florea was eventually discovered, accused of witchcraft, and hanged, but not before dozens fell victim to the near-imperceptible needles of her venomous mantle.

Current drive

She's determined to be accepted to Celestia's nobility as Arwynia is constantly living in its shadow, and even their nobles are not well regarded by the Seraphim order that rules over the city in the sky.

For the GM

At your table

By Treasures Untold lore, Florea has already been hanged for her crimes. That said her character is a very interesting potential villain in a campaign that involves scheming, intrigue and struggles of power so we encourage you to set your story before her demise and even build up to that.
